John Fontein（ジョン・フォンテイン）
プリンストン大学に入学して間もなく、彼のデモテープがInterscopeのJimmy lovineの手に渡る。Jimmy lovineは彼の才能に感銘を受け、すぐにその可能性を見いだすこととなった。この時から彼は、大学生活を送りながらスタジオでの作業に没頭し、様々なレコード会社やレーベルに向けて、来る日も来る日もトラックを制作し続けた。 しかし、完成したトラックは各方面で賞賛を得るものの、彼の夢を実現するには足らず、大学で培ったスキルを活かして、彼は金融関連での仕事も始めてしまう。 転機が訪れたのは、大学３年の頃だった。当時、セントラルパークで開催されるTERIYAKI BOYZ(R)の公演の為にニューヨークを訪れていたVERBALと、ジョンは衝撃的な出会いを果たしたのだ。その直後より、BoAやm-flo、それにTERIYAKI BOYZ(R)といった日本のアーティストのプロデュース、またはリミックスワークなどを、VERBALと共に手掛けるようになる。こうして彼は、待望のブレークを果たすこととなったのだ。

John has had a life-long passion for music...

During his freshman year at Princeton University, his demos reached Jimmy Iovine (Interscope), who was impressed with his sound and instantly recognized his potential. From that point on, John locked himself in the studio, while still continuing his university studies. He managed to pump out track after track, playing them for various labels in search of a record deal.

Despite many handshakes and promises, his dreams were dampened when no deal materialized. Dismayed and dejected, Johndedicated himself fully to his studies and began working summer jobs in the financial sector.

In his junior year, John ran into VERBAL, who was in New York for the TERIYAKI BOYZ show in Central Park. Soon after this encounter, VERBAL started working with him to produce / remix for various Japanese artists such as BoA, m-flo and theTERIYAKI BOYZ. This was the break that John had long been awaiting...

John 滿懷著對音樂就像生命的熱誠…

就讀普林斯敦大學 (Princeton University) 一年級時,他的demo帶讓 Jimmy Iovine (Interscope) 非常賞識也認定他的淺力. 從那時後開始,除了兼顧學業外, John 開始把自己關在錄音室中,製作了許多的音樂,尋找合適的唱片公司.

儘管經歷了許多見面和口頭上的承諾,但他的夢想卻沒有具體的實現. 失望也沮喪的他,決定好好的專注在學業上,並於暑假時在金融中心工作.

大學三年級時,機緣下認識了 VERBAL, 當時 TERIYAKI BOYZ 正在紐約的中央公園演出. s那次的認識後,很快地 VERBAL 開始和 John 一起製作,為許多日本藝人們製作 remix, 像是 BoA、 m-flo 和 TERIYAKI BOYZ. 這個成功的轉變也是John 期待已久的心願.
